The Malayali's favorite and most sought after sea food preparation. Served along with salad or eaten as an accompaniment with rice
Ingredients:
Karimeen (Pearl Spot) 600 gms
Ginger 10 gms.
Garlic 10 gms.
Eastern Chilly powder 2 tsp.
Eastern Turmeric powder ½ tsp.
Eastern Pepper powder 2 tsp.
Salt
Curry Leaves 6 springs
Oil
Method of preparation:
• Grind the ginger and garlic well.
• Mix all the powders in a little water to form a thick paste.
• Mix the ground ginger and garlic paste.
• Add salt to taste.
• Make few gashes on both sides of the fish.
• Apply the mixed paste on both sides of the fish and inside the stomach.
• Keep for sometime.
• Heat oil and add the curry leaves (without separating the leaves) and fry the fish
• Remove and serve with onion salad.
