Prawn Curry
 
Ingredients:
500 gms fresh prawns - medium sized (cleaned and de-veined)
100 gms coconut ( cut into ½  inch long and ¼  inch thick pieces)
Garlic
5 gms ginger (cut into 2)
5 gms onions (cut into tiny pieces)
25 gms Eastern Chilli Powder
1 ½ teaspoon Eastern Turmeric Powder
½ teaspoon curry leaves
1 ½ sprigs cocum (leaves seperated)
175 ml water
For seasoning:
200 ml Oil
½ teaspoon Mustard
25 gms shallots (sliced fine)
2 sprigs curry leaves
Method:

1    Soak the cocum in little water for sometime.

2    Heat oil and add mustard. When the mustard crackles, add the sliced shallots, curry leaves and fry.

3    Remove and keep aside.

4    Add all the ingredients to the cleaned prawns.

5    Add the soaked cocum and the water in which it was soaked and mix well.

6    Add water and cook for 15minutes.

7    Allow the water to dry. Remove from fire .Then add the seasoning and saute for 10 minutes.

8    Remove from fire and serve.
