150 gms Shallots ( If big cut into two or else whole)
2 +3 sprigs Curry leaves
1 Green chilly ( cut into 4)
400 gms Grated coconut
20 gms Shallots ( for grinding)
3 tbsp Eastern Coriander powder
1 ½ tsp Eastern Chilly powder
1 tsp Eastern Turmeric powder
200 + 250 ml Water
1 ¼ tsp Salt.
2 tbsp Oil.
Method:
1 Cook the shallot along with 2 sprigs of curry leaves and 200 ml of water and a little salt.
2 Cook till the shallots turn pale in colour.
3 Roast the grated coconut with 2 tbsp of oil and 3 sprigs of curry leaves till golden brown.
4 Then add the coriander, chilly and turmeric powder and roast till it turns brown.
5 Grind to a fine paste in a mixer without any water.
6 Remove and add to the cooked shallots along with 250 ml. Of water.
7 Add salt and heat well for few minutes.
8 Remove from fire and serve hot.
