Malabar Kozhi curry is spicy which goes with pathiri, chappathi, naans and rice varieties.
Ingredients:
Chicken
Eastern Red chilli powder
Eastern Turmeric powder
Onion-2 large
Green chilli
Garlic
Ginger
Eastern Pepper powder
Eastern Garam masala
Coconut milk
Curry leaves
Oil
Salt

Method:
Marinate the chicken with half the quantity red chilli powder,turmeric powder and salt for 10 minutes. Pressure cook it with 2 or 3 garlic pods pounded(if you are adding potatoes,cook it along with chicken) and added to it for 2 or 3 whistles. Now Heat oil in a wok. Fry the cooked chicken pieces till they are golden brown. Remove it and keep it aside. Now in the same oil saute curry leaves,onion,ginger-garlic-green chilli paste (coarse paste) till onions turn golden brown. Add garam masala,the remaining red chilli powder and mix well. Cook further for a couple of minutes. Now add the chicken pieces and cook for a couple of minutes. Add the coconut milk and mix the gravy well and cook for another 4 minutes. Serve it hot with rice/pathiri /porota /naan /chappathi /Puttu.
